The Old Man & The Sazerac

The Old Man and the Sazerac is a story about knowing what you truly want out of life. It is a mental cocktail, a literary elixir of the mind to make one think more in order to be more.

The book opens to a developing break-up; Malic has been dating Illegra with no status for quite some time, and now she has had it. With his youth in the driver's seat, Malic leaves the argument then heads to his local watering hole for libations and a youthful release. Once at the bar, Malic interacts with an older man who introduces the young buck to a cocktail called the Sazerac.

Upon giving Malic his first taste of the Sazerac, the old man warns that the cocktail might play tricks on Malic's young mind, and there will be some psychedelic agents at work.

From the moment Malic's lips hit the crystal rocks glass until he leaves, he and the old man share stories about love, money, and the true meaning of life. The old man is very wealthy, but the knowledge he imparts on young Malic is the true prize of the story.
