A young man dies with a peculiar scent on his lips, drawing Inspector Fisk into an investigation into a strange series of murders with no apparent motive and the same lingering perfume. When Fisk's playwright friend Sidney Traherne finally joins the hunt, his impartiality uncovers a clue that helps put the case in perspective-and the killer in their sights. The Perfumed Death (also published as The Perfumed Lure), was first published in 1931 in Complete Detective Novel Magazine, later in book format.
