The Pilgrim

Paul Tradour is a teacher, doctor, and
pastor who, for the best part of a decade, has labored
faithfully amongst the remnant people of one of Africa's
great tribal nations. After an unsuccessful attempt to
return to the United States, he cannot refuse the calling of
his beloved continent once again. The former Sergeant
Daniel Rutter, a South African Special Forces sniper, was
never supposed to return from one final mission that nearly
cost him his life. After being ordered to kill Pieter
Dortmus, the father of his friend Elizabeth, he uncovers his
victim's legacy-a fortune in diamonds from a secret mine.
After almost a year of legal battles to clear his name,
Daniel is eventually discharged from the Army and returns to
the valley of the Impala, where he soon discovers he is not
suited for a quiet domestic life teaching children.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth has no idea that the tall, decisive
soldier she is attracted to took her father's life. As Paul
and Daniel reconnect and resume their close friendship, they
have no idea that Elizabeth is about to be unwillingly
catapulted into a dangerous situation that will change the
course of all of their lives forever.
