The Pilgrimage of Fire and Ash

Native Portlander Jake has just graduated high school. A budding geologist and lifelong nature lover, he could not have picked a better time to pursue his vocation. One month ago, Mt. St. Helens exploded with a cataclysmic eruption and changed the Pacific Northwest forever.

Jake's whole life is changing. College awaits him, as does the girl who is his whole heart. So much to think about.

He needs to touch the foundations of the earth to find himself, and journeys to the edge, to that fine line between what is now and what is to come. Time and transformation are literally at his feet.
