'The Place That Keeps Love Alive' focuses on the journey to finding healing after heartbreak, as well as blazing the trail for a path back to self-love and self-worth. Drawing from imagery of shadow and light, the sun and the moon, and a map back to the place that keeps love alive until the protagonist can access and feel that love for herself, this book contains beautiful imagery and poems spanning the honeymoon stages of romance, toxic love, heartbreak, and healing, self-love, to taking a chance on love again. This work contains universal themes for any woman or person who finds themselves having to re-discover who they are, and create something out of nothing when all seems lost. This work incorporates elements of healing drawing from the writer's own experience as a mental health professional and relational therapist, as well as someone navigating the human condition firsthand, with its triumphs, pitfalls, and all the moments in between.
