Sophie makes a new friend when her American school spends the week with its sister Turkish school. Her new friend, Jael, is being bullied because her father is in prison. Sophie asks her dad to help him.

Luke opens an unofficial investigation into the case, asking for help from David, Jonathan, and Lance. Luke has no idea what he is getting them involved in when he seeks assistance from Captain Demir of the Turkish Polis.

Desperate, Sophie and her friends find themselves on a train racing across the country with Jael. The band of friends try to stay ahead of the criminals set on using Jael as leverage to keep her father from talking.
