The Red Scarf

Children must feel loved, confident and good about themselves in order to feel good about others. As role models, we must help them grow into good little citizens by teaching them to speak up, stick up, and stand up for their beliefs.

The Red Scarf addressed some of these issues by showing the love that little girls have for their mother and the role model she plays in helping to develop morals, values, fashion and style. This story is also a lesson in settling conflicts peacefully, and shows how others may want the things you have and will bully you to get them.

For that reason, I dedicate this little book to all who have been bullied or have seen others being bullied. May you have the desire, courage and strength to endure, excel, succeed and walk away from needless and unproductive situations."
