Finding cup marks, rock basins, hundreds of menhir/stelae (some with engravings), carved horizontal slabs and the like, all bursting from rock outcrops in middle of the land pastures and surrounded by zoomorphic or anthropomorphic figures - is always a motive of surprise. But it becomes shocking and beyond belief when these findings are geographically placed in the middle of North Atlantic Ocean, on an Island where history says that no one lived before the XV century... With the opposition of Portuguese authorities and archaeologists, but as part of a pos doctoral project with Porto University, this book pretends only to register the inoffensive rock basins standing among the other controversial material...
