The Salamander King, Book Four

The book has 104 pages, 24 illustrations and follows the two eleven year olds, Wayne and Becky, as they deal with getting the endangered Tam Dao Newts back to Viet Nam, over eight thousand miles away. Lots going on; Terrible Todd, once the biggest bully in school, surprises Wayne and Police Chief Nan! Butch is in the batter's box for the State Championship baseball game when the pitcher throws a fastball right at his head! Justin, Grace, Wayne and Becky take Newton home to Lake Tear of the Clouds. Going for a swim with Newton, Wayne gets trapped under a log in the fast moving brook. Becky cannot free him but, she sees two friends coming and hopes they can!
