Set in the backdrop of the Western Ghats, the tribals struggle with the conquest of a debasing life scenario. Caught in the currents, Madhavi fights on to keep her family afloat. Her only son falls in the wrong hands and demands sale of her land holding, keeping in line with the trend. The inevitable is about to happen. Jyothi and Kamala stand by Madhavi. Nelson, the Englishman enters the scene as a non-profit crusader of an afforestation drive in the mountains around.

Jyothi begins to feel the warmth of the manly attention from Nelson. Jyothi, who moves closely with David, is in a spot. Young and wealthy, the debonair Nelson is face to face with an earthy tribal damsel.
