Follow the life of Chandrika "Rika" Ramanujan, a fearless young woman of Tamil Indian descent who moves to the City of Ottawa, Ontario, from the City of Montreal, Quebec, to get away from her conservative relatives. A clever and seductive thief, scammer and trickster, Chandrika meets her match in Ibrahim Adewale of Nigeria, a Carleton University scholar, do-right man and chronic do-gooder who believes that anyone can change. Ibrahim sets out to rescue Chandrika from her bad self...and falls hard for her. Chandrika feels for Ibrahim too, but perhaps not enough to change her kleptomaniac lifestyle.
