Many consequences face Virgil. He fought hard to become a squire but now that all could be on the line if they can't change him back. Not to mention, what exactly he will face if they change him back.

The shadow elves have followed them to the mountains and seek out Virgil. Even after he was abandoned by them, they still continue to seek him out in hopes of his return. And the paladins continue to hunt them down.
