This book is the story of the rulers and their protectors, the time lines are accurate and as recorded in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicles; the Kings and Queens are real; their characterisations and their protectors are possible but unrecorded; the tenth century, a time when the green fields of England were stained red with blood.
