We are beginning to see, from what is happening all around the World, that we have entered into the last days. Men's hearts have started to fail them because of anxiety and fear. People are worried about the future - not sure who to listen to, believe or trust. Disillusions have started to set in, and some of the very things upon which they have built their lives and confidence, have started to shake from beneath their feet.
The Bible says "men's hearts will fail them from fear." In contrast, in Isaiah 26:3, the Bible says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." This is the time to return to the God, and He will return to us.
Consider these Bible passages:
Isaiah 55:7 - Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. It is not his desire that any perish.
2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
The Bible tells us that it is a fool that says in his heart that there is no God - the very source and epitome of Life, Creation and Eternity, for in Him they all exist. The Lord owns every life, irrespective of whether that life acknowledges Him as God or not. He has His purpose for each life, and we will discover this purpose in fellowship with Him through Christ, His Spirit, and His Word! The Parable of the Ten virgins is a wake-up call!
