All Raymond Quinn wanted was a quiet place to enjoy a good cup of coffee. How difficult could that be in Seattle? Newly retired, Ray had no job or close relationships to fill his days. He was adrift and tended to fall into his life-long habit of second-guessing his choices, both big and small. Determined to find a less-crowded place than the downtown Starbucks he normally frequented, Ray finds himself at Other Worlds Coffee, far from the hordes of cruise ship passengers and panhandlers. It is there he meets a man with a shocking revelation: "You are blessed, not cursed, because you now have a chance to eliminate regrets for past choices. Everyone must live the life they create for themselves based on decisions they make. However, sometimes, a very small number of people do get a second chance. They learn they can relive a portion of an alternative life. You are one of those fortunate people." Raymond Quinn was dead and about to embark on the adventure of his lifetimes. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Like the main character in his novel, William Matthies served in the U.S. Army including a year-long stint in Vietnam during the war. After leaving the service, he graduated college, married, raised two sons, and eventually found his true calling as a serial entrepreneur. His first book, The 7 Keys to Change, is based on years of research on personal and professional change management. His other accomplishments include earning a lifetime ban from Catalina Island at 13, viewing Earth from 80,000 feet during a Mach 2.5 flight in a Russian supersonic aircraft, and remaining an absolute beginner after "playing" guitar for more than three decades.
