The Ways of the Enlightened

This book, entitled "The Ways of the Enlightened" is the second volume presenting the translations of Majalis-e-Turabi and covers 18 speeches by the Late Allamah Rasheed Turabi. Fourteen of the speeches belong to those chosen from Shaam-e-Ghariban Majalis, which were broadcasted by Radio Pakistan for his audience not only in Pakistan but spread all over in India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, South Africa etc. Three other speeches discuss the exegesis of Suratul Kausar and of the remaining two, one each belong to Majalis of Chehlum (Arba'een) and of Shab-e-Zarbat of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

A brief account about Allamah Turabi was given in the first volume of these translations. Although the popularity of Allamah Rasheed Turabi does not call for any introduction, the translator would like to highlight some more facts about this unique Zakir-e-Husain (May Allah rest his soul in peace).

Allamah Rasheed Turabi was a pioneer in selecting the subjects of his addresses under specific titles, whether compromising a series of 5-10 Majalis or even for a single Majlis. It was simply a wonderfully organized system of oratory and the announcment of the title was enough to produce an immediate interest and anticipatory attendance by his fast gallery of admirers belonging even to other sects.
