The Wedding of The Lamb

The final celebration of the wedding concerning Christ and the church remains a great mystery as Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:32. From Genesis to Revelation we will see the treasures and shadows that God has placed within His word, helping to strengthen our faith and give us an understanding of this incredible mystery.

Throughout the inspired Scriptures, the marriage covenant is revealed, beautifully portraying the heavenly union the LORD has planned for His beloved. We will explore the earliest Hebrew "traditions" of marriage gleaned from Scripture to uncover a blueprint for a heavenly marriage designed by the King of kings and established in Christ before the foundation of the world.

The Creator did not want mankind simply to be fruitful and multiply independently from Him, but for man and woman to live in an unbroken bond of unity as a reflection of God's triune existence.

"'Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.' And it was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. And he said to me, Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.' And he said to me, 'These are true words of God.'" Revelation 19:7-9
