The Wind and the Word

In a far-distant future, the world has been broken and re-shaped many times, and much that we take for granted has become lost or forgotten. Rand Porter, son of the local blacksmith, finds a fragment of stone tablet in his uncle's apple orchard.

As he pursues the mystery of its message, he becomes embroiled in conflict with a dark mystic, entangled in the mysteries of young love, and swept into a contest for the future of his kingdom.
