The unipolar world order of the West is contested by the Russian-Chinese tandem which is working to establish an alternative. Europe, which has dominated the world so much, is declining and Françafrique is losing ground. The governance of the USA, the largest democracy in the world, is under fire from critics.As for Africa, the hopes of the populations born after independence are drowned in the distortion of the processes of access and management of power, strengthening the rank of Afro-pessimists. A situation which challenges and pushes certain observers like the author of this book to take up their pen to share their understanding and their apprehensions with public opinion.
