Before there were aye ayes, and fish named red lipped bats,

Before there were dugongs, fossa's, and mole rats,

There lived on an island, not so easily found,

People and creatures, sharing life all year round.

Could you say they were different?, I guess maybe, yes!

But with love in their hearts, and courage no less.

And in their world of wonder, few ever complained,

In fact, they would dance on the beach when it rained.
