The Year of Return

The Year of Return is a literary fiction book about the lives of a group of people coming together on a journey back to Africa. A decision by the United States government is suddenly changing their lives.

Black people are finally paid their reparations by the United States government but at the cost of returning "home." Can the US government ask all Black people to the United States? Is this even possible? The Land of the Free is about to come to an end as we know it.

This sudden decision will affect the life of Naya-Marie, whose career with the US military is suddenly terminated. She must leave the only place she calls home to a new continent with her family.
