There Is A Light That Never Goes Out

Vic’s a unique fellow—never had a job, never kissed a woman, he’s in his thirties and has been in college for almost fifteen years, but he’s more optimistic than you’d expect. Delightful synchronicities keep arising in Vic’s life, giving him great bliss. While minding his business in the summer he moves into a house on Etherington Crescent, the best thing of all happens—Two women seem to take an interest in him. In fact, it becomes clear that they want to jump his bones.  

There Is A Light That Never Goes Out is a dark comedy that’s satisfyingly on the mark about modern romance, despite being narrated, in part, by a quirky idiot savant and naive one-time heartbreaker. When Vic looks back on how it all happened, how life’s little miracles once set his life romantically ablaze, there’s only one thing that sticks out in his mind: the serendipity of the strange flying beetle he found smacking itself over and over into a light.
