Thick Seam Mining

This volume of proceedings covers the identification of problems in the form of keynote papers from experts of eminence in the industry, general observations about thick seam mining problems and achievements of ground control, techniques and technology, and impact of underground mining of thick seams as well as opencast mining of pillars on environment and ecology. A number of case histories and special methods practised in India and abroad are included to give direction to further advancement in the field.
