The most important drama on earth may be that of man.
Unlike other species, we modify the natural scenes and write the script for our own life dramas. For that matter, we write the script for other species. We reset the scenes on earth by erecting big cities and moving machines. With electric lamps, we alter the lighting on the stage.
But the story of the human drama is unfinished. It is a series of scenes with changing themes. The script is always written for the continuation of the present scene or in preparation for the scene coming after. Some scenes are comedies, and some are tragedies.
Any play written about man and produced on stage is a depiction of real life. Characters on stage represent characters in real life. Drama on the stage is taken from real life. Actors emulate characters who have lived.
However, an actor on stage is more aware of his acting and is less serious because it is someone else's story that he is reenacting. The theme of this drama is man's ongoing search for love, freedom, and truth!
The role, makeup, costume and character, predominantly hero, villain, victim, heroic victim or villainous victim, are all unique perceptions!
