This volume presents the legal and administrative texts in the Iraq Museum at Baghdad that date to the Fara, Pre-Sargonic, and Sargonic periods, and that stem from illicit excavations. Sixty-eight of the seventy-four texts presented are published for the first time. Steinkellers introduction precedes the transliteration and translation of the texts, and the volume concludes with Postgates copies of all the texts.
