This Spine of Mine

A woman who endured a spinal fusion as a teenager, experienced her worst fear, a fall, while in her seventh decade. The event sends her on an arduous emotional and physical ascent to get back up on her feet. While working through recovery, Susan reflected on the life changing impact her scoliosis and subsequent spinal fusion played on her ability to interact with the physical world in the decades since her surgery. She shares her story with a sense of humor that contemporaries will enjoy. Susan collaborated with her daughter to write this memoir that ended up being another life changing experience for both of them.
