William Morris (1834-1896), English textile designer, and Icelandic scholar Eirikr Magnusson (1833-1913) were the first to translate the Volsunga saga into English. This 1875 collection contains The Story of Gunnlaug the Worm-Tongue and Raven the Skald; The Story of Frithiof the Bold; The Story of Viglund the Fair; The Tale of Hogni and Hedinn; The Tale of Roi the Fool; and The Tale of Thorstein Staff-Smitten.
