From having to flee for his life from a gang of Hitler Youths as a boy in Germany, through private schools in Switzerland and England and college in Texas, "Through Life's Lens" is as much a coming of age story as the memoir of a photo-journalist who covered not only seven U.S. Presidents, but movie stars and rock idols, as well as mundane, everyday events. In what can properly be described as a series of amazing coincidences, the story of Fred Bauman's life makes for some interesting reading.

How he found a lost love only to lose her again after an almost impossible search from the rooftops of Manhattan apartment buildings in itself can only be described as fascinating.
