Through Thick & Thin

Lauren is a Black Feminist and works at a local Barbershop as a barber. She has one child by her boyfriend of four years, Shawn. Shawn is a Revolutionary who lost his job as a mechanic. This caused a lot of tension between the already struggling couple. Lauren was getting feed up with Shawn's lack of motivation to do anything but play the video game and shoot hoops with his boys, and was ready to call it quits. When she catches Shawn doing the unthinkable, she, with no hesitation, leaves him. Shawn tries everything to get Lauren back from being the helpless romantic to being a complete ass hole. Because Shawn refuses to babysit their son while she is at work, she loses her job and is facing eviction. Just as he thinks he is winning the battle, Luke, Lauren's best-friend of many years steps in willing and ready to take the stress off of Lauren's shoulder. Feeling like he can't, Shawn disappears only to return to Lauren happily attached to Luke. Shawn strategically plans to get her back attached to him. Shawn puts the plan in motion confident that his plan will be flawless. Now Lauren is forced to choose between her past and her present. Will Shawn's plan work or will it back fire?
