Elizabeth, a trouser wearing, self-reliant young woman, was raised by her angry, greedy father. When he runs out of money, he tries to sell her to the highest bidder, a man who is older than her father and twice as mean. Desperate to disappear, she finds her outlaw, turned ranch owner, brother in Spring Creek, Montana. Caught unaware and knocked unconscious during a stagecoach robbery, Ben remains in the small town of Spring Creek and finds work as a ranch hand on Elizabeth's brother's ranch. Elizabeth and Ben clash at every turn, yet there is an undeniable chemistry brewing between them. When Elizabeth's father finds her, he threatens to expose secrets best left hidden. Ben offers to help Elizabeth when his own future takes an abrupt turn.
