Barkersville is the kind of place where people ran to escape. Lewis was a longtime resident of Barkersville, but that never stopped him from running. For most of his life, Lewis carried around a burden of unspoken words and unanswered actions that weighed him down more than he’d ever let on.

Charles was considered the new guy in town—a private psychologist previously practicing in the City That Never Sleeps—New York, New York. With an office not fully set up, Lewis would become one of Charles’ first patients. As they dive into conversation, Charles soon finds every ideal he’s ever known thrown into question. The doctor becomes the patient as we wonder, what is Charles running from? Or better yet, what is he running toward?
