Erin Coyle’s life takes a dramatic twist when her brother William invites her to join him in New York to make a better life for herself.

Erin, who is secretly in love with her childhood friend Patrick, feels torn on whether to stay or go. But it seems Patrick doesn’t feel the same way, or at least he has a hard time showing it. In the end, she decides to leave the poverty-stricken streets of the Bogside leaving behind Patrick, who after hiding his feelings for her for so long and finally plucking up the courage to propose, misses the opportunity to do so.

Once in New York, Erin cannot get Patrick out of her mind, that is until the drop-dead-gorgeous Theo captures her heart and sparks begin to fly.

Will life in New York bring Erin the fairy-tale ending, or will she have more ups and downs to face than ever before? One thing is certain, this will be a trip Erin will certainly never forget.
