Today, Tomorrow and Always

Axelle Hakizimana is taking us to an elementary school students' life: At home with their families; on the way to school in buses, family cars or walking to school; at school in classes or during recess; and finally in extra curriculum activities, such as sports and plays. Here is typical story you may find in this book: "I sat on the chair inside class. Next to me was my best friend forever Stacey, we have been friends for a few years. "I wonder what the surprise is." Stacy whispered to me. "It has to be cool," I whispered back. "Okay class!" Began Mr. Sherman today I'm going to tell the surprise what I had for you". Everyone was listening hard, I could tell. "We're going on a class trip!" "Where to", Josh asked. "To the beach everyone... ", yeah" Ciara said quietly. "I haven't just told you yet," said Mr. Sherman was going to learn how to surf!" "Surfing", the class screamed. Even I was jumping up and down. "But", Continued Mr. Sherman you have to know how to swim first". "I know how to swim!" Stacey said excitedly. I sat back down everyone knows how to swim except for me. The bell rang "School's over!" Said Mr. Sherman and remember you need to know how to swim!" I picked up my bag and putted it to buy back. Everyone was eager except for me. I walked out of the school building with my head down staring at the ground. Riley was next to me. "Aren't you so excited? We're going surfing how cool is that". "Yah" I mumbled so cool" my head was still facing down. I kept on kicking the rocks in front of me".
