TONIGHT! Heaps of Hapless Hoopla at the Big Top!

Tonight! Heaps of of Hapless Hoopla at the Big Top! is the story of Hee HaHoo the clown, a clown who does not like to be laughed at.  He'd much prefer the resounding applause that the other circus performers receive.  One night, as their largest audience awaits the performance, the circus acts aim to go above and beyond their normal routines.  However, they may go a bit too far beyond in their attempts to impress.  Will Hee HaHoo's comic routine be able to save the show, or will the big top completely topple?

This big top is filled with word play, rhyme and alliteration to create an ear tickling read aloud for children and adults alike to enjoy.  The use of higher vocabulary helps to introduce young readers to new words and sounds.  Black pen and colored pencils give the illustrations a soft, faded, vintage circus poster feel.  The illustrations are a playful mix of close detail and old timey slapstick that are capable of telling the story on their own.
