Towards a Paradigm Shift in Social Enterprise

This work traces the development of social enterprise and dodocuments how local community organisations struggled to become market orientated. The work also shows how local development agencies (LDA's) failed to adapt to the challenge of social enterprise. The author was a member of the Social Enterprise Taskforce set up by New Labour in 2001 and providing the foundations for the Big Society under the coalition in 2010
