A retired Congressman who knows he is dying soon decides to confess what he and many others did while serving in the House of Representatives. The retired man believes in God and knows his day of judgment is close, so he wants to admit his sins as a way of asking for forgiveness for all of the damage he has done. A reporter listens to his story.

I, and many others in Congress, didn't care when citizens began to notice that we were pushing laws and ideals that we wanted ignoring the needs of the citizens we represented. Slowly we began to make speeches denouncing our country trying to change the moral fiber of our people by supporting immoral and devastating behavior. We pushed for our children to be taught to hate our beautiful country that many of our kids died to keep free. We and our rich friends didn't care when the public realized that we wished to change the look of our population by encouraging immigrants from all over the world to come in while insisting on abortion to eliminate growth of our people and with a sly smile offered seniors less treatment because they were old enough already.

Citizens are afraid to leave their homes now because of crime, and we pushed for less police. Our government agencies persist in spying upon our people instead of other countries' military and plans against us, and we make sure that the incarceration of innocent citizens is experienced continuously to keep the people from revolting while we and our friends break laws and sell out our country.

The old man was tired of remembering all he and others had done to our people, and he gazed into space wondering why United States citizens stood by and did nothing while the elected saw how far they could push their agenda. He knew that the situation of the country would get worse after he died as more and more power is taken from the people until eventually everything the people have both material and rights are taken away. It is only a matter of time.

After the old man stopped talking, the reporter got angry as he thought of what the government had done to the people and what was yet to come. He believed that all of those who think the United States is a terrible place and want to change it should leave this nation and move to the country they believe would treat them as equals and care about them. He also knew that those who love the United States would come to say 'no more'. He was right.
