Transport and Confinement in Toroidal Devices

The problems associated with energy and particle transport in fusion plasmas are basic to the understanding of how fusion machines work and how fusion reactors can be designed. This work is essential to the efficient supply of power in the next century. The Transport Task Force, a co-operative effort between theorists and experimentalists, was created with the goal of understanding how energy and particles behave in a plasma confined by strong magnetic fields under fusion conditions. This international workshop built upon the efforts of the TTF to provide a review of the latest advances in the field.
