Trees and Plants

This innovative series is designed to help teachers bring science topics to life through imaginative creative arts activities. Each pack includes 10 laminated, double-sided cards, printed in full color. Every card describes in detail activities that animate aspects of science topics using art, drama and dance. Ideal for whole class or small group sessions, the packs are an inspiration for busy teachers looking for new ways to approach project work at Key Stage 2 - and can also easily be used with Key Stage 1 classes. Trees and Plants focuses on aspects of plant life processes and living things in their environment. Activities in the pack include making and using Plasticine printing blocks; using sunlight photograms to record plant life; natural dyeing using common plants; leaf painting with watercolors; collecting, preparing and eating wild food; and a drama following the life and times of a tree.
