In 1924 F. Scott Fitzgerald sent the typescript for his novel titled ""Trimalchio"" to his editor. In the following months Fitzgerald rewrote the text in galley proof and selected a retitled it - ""The Great Gatsby"". This text shows how Fitzgerald progressed from the first draft to the finished novel.
