Tudor Music

This first comprehensive bibliography of Tudor music is organized by subject, with extensive cross-referencing. There are indexes of musicians, authors, and periodicals. Most of the annotations indicate why selected items are worth reading, while some alert users to superceded or erroneous content. An appendix updates the author's "William Byrd: A Guide to Research" (Garland, 1987). The illustrations include hitherto unpublished music.
