Turn Nine Execute

'TURN NINE EXECUTE' is a memoir of the actual humorous and serious incidents which occurred on the destroyer U.S.S. GOODRICH DDR - 831, during the period of 1952 through 1956. This is not a military document, but rather the recollections of the author, his shipmates, and several senior officers who preceded him, who actually experienced the events. It depicts some of the midshipmen training of the author, and covers operations areas of the ship from the home base in Newport, R.I., the North Atlantic, the Naval training base at Guantnamo Bay, Cuba, in the Mediterranean and Red Sea with the Sixth Fleet, and to the Elbe River of North Germany.
