Jen lives near Liverpool, England, in a sheltered housing complex with her handicapped daughter. Her husband died during the first Lockdown in England - 9th May 2020. They were happily married for 66 years.
Unfortunately, Jen has been diagnosed by a consultant haemotologist with Myelodysplasia - a type of blood cancer. She is currently taking chemotherapy for the problem, but there is no cure for this disease.
Jen's time is now spent with her daughter, who needs a great deal of encouragement and help. Many days are spent playing games and painting and colouring pictures together.
Jen has many hobbies of her own; she loves painting and has sold many in the past. Sewing, puzzles, jigsaws, and making greeting cards are some of the occupations now.
Writing a book was a first for Jen and probably the only book she will ever write. She felt it important to help others who had been adopted to see that life, although difficult at times, can be enjoyed with an open mind and reconciliation the most major step on the way.
