Welcome to the inner sanctum of Emily Goldman's fantasy life. Two Weeks is a stream of consciousness from a woman who has had enough of suburbia. After twenty-four years of marriage with a workaholic husband and five children, she has all but decided to bail out, when an old friend, Jack Deveaux, emails her. His attention to her for just two weeks finds her nose-diving into the seductive rabbit hole of forbidden libido urges. Her empty childhood exaggerates her need for conversation and intimacy. Jack's presence is profoundly evocative to her even though most of his intentions were contrived by her own imagination. Marriage is a series of hellish pitfalls that can be a wicked depress-fest if you aren't careful. This desperate woman finds that an unadulterated two week fantasy may have given her just the perspective that she needed.
