Why, in the early twentieth century, and even today, was the subject of UFOs always considered ‘Above Top Secret’? Their technology often surpassed anything the major powers possessed, and there was a massive effort to study the hardware in order to adapt it for our own benefit.

The first country to develop a craft with the speed and manoeuvrability of a ‘flying saucer’ would have the technical supremacy to rule the planet. Secrecy and denial were paramount, and governments were certainly not sharing information gathered from the examination of crashed alien vehicles, or their own resultant prototypes.

Whilst the aliens’ advanced technology is the most obvious reason for secrecy, the knowledge of other intelligent beings inhabiting the universe would have a drastic effect on Earth’s society and religions. Some researchers are convinced our Space Brothers are benign, and just want to help us. This may not be the case. Aliens, like us humans, can lie. What is their real intent and agenda?

World governments do not want ordinary citizens interacting with visitors who may not have our best interests in mind.

I don’t pretend to know the answers where UFOs and aliens are concerned. In fact there is no single ‘answer’ to this multi-faceted enigma. In this book I have written about many major incidents which have occurred in the distant past and over the last one hundred years or so. ‘Now’ – some may be our own secret prototypes, – ‘and Then’ – in the past – perhaps it is more likely they were alien craft and their occupants. It is up to the reader to consider the evidence and make-up their own mind.
