Ultrafast Processes in Spectroscopy

Participants and speakers to this conference were attracted from 14 European countries, as well as the USA and Japan, drawn together by their common interest in ultrafast laser pulses as an investigative tool. This book contains nearly 150 papers, including many invited from some of the world's foremost researchers. The symposium was attended by physicists, biologists and chemists with the result that these proceedings represent a record of new ideas, techniques and methods which should be of interest to those working in laser technology, quantum optics, semiconductor science, physical chemistry and photophysics.
