Understanding Muslim Prejudices toward Israel during the British Mandate Period in Palestine

America's viewpoint on terrorism changed dramatically on September 11, 2001. The people of the United States had no idea that an organization on the other side of the world, with a deep hatred for our country, would plan a detailed attack in order to produce as many civilian casualties as possible and disrupt the very fabric of our democratic society. In New York City, hijacked commercial airplanes flew into, and destroyed, two of the tallest buildings in America that represented the financial capitol of our country. In Washington, D.C., a hijacked airliner crashed into the Pentagon building, the headquarters of the most powerful military in the world. A fourth hijacked airliner crashed in a field in Pennsylvania, killing all passengers onboard, and whose intended target was likely the White House or the U.S. Capitol.
