New Edition Now Available!Leading a well-rounded life requires that an individual have a cursory knowledge of many important fundamental subjects, concepts, and values. Hampton University's University 101: The Individual & Life provides freshmen and first-time students with such knowledge and prepare them with an education for life. Students are exposed to and develop an appreciation for such areas as technology, business, science, African American history, art, literature, music, and more; all of which they will encounter in some form throughout their lives. They will also be exposed to the history and character of Hampton University. This exposure will whet their appetites and pique their interests which will likely lead to further personal in-depth exploration of these topics and possibly influence their career choices. Exposure to the above will improve the quality of the freshman year experience and help students understand the purpose and value of higher education at Hampton and within the broader educational context.
