There is much consternation about the inability of the Church to deal with the challenges around the world today, especially as she has boasted of the power of Jesus to resolve life's challenges. Christians have said many prayers in many parts of the world, and a popular Scripture verse during such times of prayer is 2 Chronicles 7:14.

A close look at the passage of Scripture as documented in the Bible, compared to how it is quoted by most of the people leading prayers, reveals a clear misrepresentation of the word of God. This misrepresentation of Scripture has been largely responsible for the apparent impotence of the Church to pray to God and obtain the required results.

The title of this book, a direct message from God to the Church, seeks to let the Church know what she has been doing wrong. A question that arises is, "Can the Church, a representative of God on the earth, do wrong?" Sadly, the answer is, "Yes!"

This book examines how the Church, a body comprising of people called by God, has acted contrary to God's word on many fronts. It challenges the Church to change her ways; else, her praying will be in vain. We cannot continue to engage in iniquity and expect God to answer our prayers. Christians would, therefore, take heed and do well to make the necessary amends so that God can once again show His power through the Church.

It is hoped that this book will awaken Christians to understand the import of conditionalities in God's word and fulfil them so that God can do what He has promised once those conditions have been met.
