Unusual Sorrows

In his second collection of poetry, Richard Fenwick continues to explore the joys, sorrows and absurdities that span the length of our human experience. Written over a six-year period of love and loss, this collection delves into the breadth of the emotions we all share, and poses this simple question: how is it that sorrow can feel unusual?

Richard is the recipient of Stepping Stone’s Magazine’s “Poet of the Year” award. His poems have appeared in such periodicals and anthologies as Rattle, The Virginia Quarterly Review, The Adirondack Review, and The Tishman Review. He is a Russian translator, and works with Holocaust Survivors from the former Soviet Union who have made their homes in Southern Arizona.
