When Jean Pierre began her career as an aesthetician, she had three strikes against her: she was a woman, she was Black, and she was a small business owner. But the bigger the obstacle, the harder Jean fought to overcome it. In her autobiography, the award-winning entrepreneur describes her unlikely transition from working as a registered nurse to becoming the owner of a renowned spa.

Jean's story began in Jamaica, where her parents' independence and resourcefulness taught her to see opportunities in any situation. After moving to Canada, Jean was frustrated to find there were almost no products treating issues affecting Black skin, let alone celebrating its beauty. To meet this need, Jean has spent her life educating others and providing innovative treatments for Black skin.
